Your First Visit at EWC
What to Expect
Your first visit to Endodontics of West Chester is designed to provide advanced, specalist-driven treatment planning and gentle pain relief.
We begin with a thorough consultation, reviewing your medical history and discussing your concerns. We then perform a comprehensive examination, including advanced imaging, to accurately diagnose your condition. This allows us to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses your unique needs and goals.
What to Do
Please bring your referral form and information regarding your dental insurance, if applicable.
If you have been instructed to pre-medicate with antibiotics prior to dental treatment per the American Heart Association guidelines, please take your dose at least 1 hour prior to your visit.
Completion of the new patient forms prior to your first visit will help facilitate a smooth check-in experience.
What to ask
When scheduling your first appointment at our office, ask about our comfort menu and sedation options.
Our compassionate team understands that endodontic procedures can cause anxiety, and that is why we offer a variety of comforting options, from sound-canceling headphones to oral anti-anxiety medications and nitrous oxide (aka laughing gas), allowing you to choose the level of relaxation and/or sedation that feels right for you.

Insurance & Copayments
Our knowledgeable treatment coordinators will help you navigate your dental insurance benefits, whether our EWC practicioners are in- or out-of-network with your contracted dental insurance provider. Please contact our treatment coordinators at least 24 hours prior to your appointment to provide us with accurate insurance information, allowing us to verify your eligibility and coverage.
Dental insurance coverage often differs when you are seeing an endodontic specialist versus your general dentist. Thus, our treatment coordinators will provide all patients with a timely estimate of what your insurance will be likely to cover for the anticipated endodontic diagnostic testing and any recommended endodontic treatment. The remaining balance which is not covered by your insurance (aka copayment), is the patient's responsibility, and is due in full at the time of service.
Please note that this copayment estimate is not a guarantee, and your insurance company will make the final payment determination once treatment is rendered, and we have complimentarily submitted an insurance claim on your behalf. As dental insurance is a contract between the patient and the insurance provider, patients are ultimately responsible for any outstanding balances (ie. for non-covered services rendered, deductibles or maximum yearly allowances reached).
Please contact us before your first visit with any questions regarding your dental insurance coverage, and the Endodontics of West Chester financial or insurance policy.
